LAHORE: Pakistan Railways on Friday announced to run five special trains as part of a special Eid package for passengers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The package was approved during a meeting chaired with Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
Under the package, five special trains will be run from June 23-28 while fares will also be reduced by 33 percent for two days.
In addition to special trains, additional coaches will also be added to existing trains for the convenience of passengers.
The first special train will leave Karachi for Peshawar on June 23 while second train will leave Quetta for Rawalpindi the next day.
The third train will leave Karachi for Lahore and two special trains will run between Rawalpindi and Multan.
The federal government has announced three day holiday on the occasion of Eidul Fitr starting from June 26 to June 28.
