Pakistan raises issue of two held Pakistani children with India

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria has said that Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi has raised the issue of two Pakistani children, who mistakenly crossed into other side of the border, with Indian authorities.

In a statement on Tuesday, he said the Indian authorities have acknowledged that the little boys named Faisal Hassan and Ahsan Khursheed mistakenly crossed the border.

This should be noted that two Pakistani youngsters had accidentally crossed the border and entered India. Indian forces have reportedly put them in jail on mere allegation of guiding Uri attackers. Pakistan High Commission in India has expedited efforts to recover the boys.

On the other hand, Pakistan on January 21 handed over Indian soldier Chandu Babulal Chohan, who was captured from the Line of Control (LoC), to Indian authorities.

Foreign Office spokesman confirmed that Chohan was handed over to Indian authorities at the Wagah border. He was captured on  September 29, 2016 and had been in custody every since.
