RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Rangers have demanded a flag meeting to protest against unprovoked Indian firing on innocent civilian and ceasefire violation along the Working Boundary.
A civilian Muhammad Hanif, while farming in the fields, got seriously injured because of unprovoked firing by Indian Border Security Forces at village Sukhial in Sialkot sector on Thursday, media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations said.
The injured civilian was whisked to Combined Military Hospital Sialkot, the ISPR said.

A flag meeting is the meeting which is held at the border or on the Line of Control by military commanders on both sides. It is aimed at confidence building exercise to resolve the problem at the local level and alleviate tension.
The Foreign Office last month summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner and lodged a protest against the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian forces in Kotkotera Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) that led to the killing of a civilian.
FO Spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned the Indian diplomat over the death of an innocent civilian, Abdur Rauf, in Indian firing.
“The Indian Forces have carried out more than 2,000 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary, resulting in the martyrdom of 32 innocent civilians, while injuring 122 others,” he said in a statement.
