Pakistan, Saudi Arabia decide to form working group on film, drama production

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have decided to constitute a working group for coordination in film and drama production, ARY News reported.

This was decided during second round of talks between Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry and Saudi Arabian Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah on Thursday in Riyadh.

Both the dignitaries decided for cooperation in performing art, fashion designing and training of artists.

A memorandum of understanding was finalised on cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on this occasion.

The Saudi Arabian culture minister stressed on benefitting from Pakistani experience and experts, while the information minister thanked the brotherly country for extending cooperation in culture sector.

Fawad Chaudhry invited Prince Badr bin Abdullah to Pakistan.

Later on, while talking to media, the information minister said the Saudi Arabian citizens enjoyed on-arrival visa facility in Pakistan. He said Pakistanis had played crucial role in development of Saudi Arabia.

“Saudi Arabian tourists will play an important role in economic development of Pakistan,” he said.

Fawad Chaudhry said the government had no personal enmity with deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Zardari.

He said Pakistan had the law of plea bargain, so whoever wanted to leave the country he could do so by returning all the looted money.
