Pakistan scores 209; McLaren takes 4 wickets

DUBAI: Pakistan, who after winning the toss decided to bat first in the second ODI on Friday, have set the target of 209 runs at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, ARY News reported.

After the early loss of Nasir Jamshaid, Ahmed Shehzad has steadied and propelled Pakistan against a South African attack that showed the same discipline that he showed in the first ODI.

He has once again performed best among the Pakistani batsmen by scoring third consecutive fifty.

Pakistani batsmen wasn’t able to prolong their inning after getting a start as most of them got out soon achieving double figures.

Captain Misbah-ul-Haq scored 25, Mohammad Hafeez got bowled out at 26 while Umar Amin and Umar Akmal dismissed after scoring 14 and 18 runs respectively.

Shahid Afridi was looking good but wasn’t able to improvise his inning and get out at the score of 26 runs that came in 20 balls.

Ryan McLaren was on the top of South African bowlers with his 4 wickets while Morne Morkel dismissed 3 batsmen.
