Pakistan not sending troops to Bahrain, says PM
MIANWALI: Pakistan will not send its troops to Bahrain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said here on Thursday, ARY News reports.
Pakistan's Prime Minister was talking to media before re-christining the Mianwali Airbase behind M.M. Alam, Pakistan's hero of 1965 war with India.
Sharif said that Pakistan not sending its armed forces to Bahrain and recent Pakistan visits of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Behrain leaders highlight Pakistan's friendly relations with these Arab countries.
Sharif said that the region passing through a phase of transition.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Mianwali, accompanied by federal ministers Pervez Rasheed and Khawaja Asif.
The Prime Minister attended the ceremony of renaming of the Mianwali Airbase behind M.M. Alam on the first death anniversary of the war hero.
M.M. Alam was a legend fighter pilot of Pakistan Air Force, who shot down five enemy warplanes in a minute.
