ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry on Monday said that Pakistan was witnessing significant economic growth after improved security situation in the country
He said this in a a meeting with the Congressional Group during his first official visit to Houston. Select community members, businessmen and Pakistani-Americans were also present on this occasion.
Congressional Group comprised of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Congressman Al Green and Congressman Bato O’Rourke along with select community members.
The ambassador appreciated the role of US-based Pakistanis not only in strengthening Pakistan’s economy but also in showcasing soft image for the country.
He said security situation in Pakistan has improved due to the successes in fight against terrorism and the resolve of the government to root out the extremist and anti -Pakistan forces.
Aizaz also highlighted economic turnaround of the country and the new investment opportunities it provides to the investors.
