Pakistan has often banned Bollywood flicks, either due to their inflammatory content which often depicts its armed forces and intelligence agency in a bad light or when it is deemed as too bold for audience members.

According to the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) chief Mobashir Hasan, the movie is an ‘out and out’ obscene film’ which contains nudity and vulgar dialogues. “The film is full of nudity and has a lot of vulgar content in its dialogues. The board has officially disallowed the film from public viewing,” he said.

Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 stars Aftab Shivdasani and Tusshar Kapoor in the lead roles. The decision was taken a couple of days ago in a meeting of the CBFC and its provincial heads, where it was decided the flick was too raunchy for audiences in Pakistan.

The film, which has done a whopping business of Rs 130 crore in only two days, was at first screened in a couple of Pakistani cinemas from last Friday. However, after two days, the general manager of a local cinema was told by his distributor to pull down the movie.

“We have issued a showcause notice to the distributor and he faces a hefty fine for importing this film and selling it to some exhibitors without first going through proper channels,” said CBFC chief Mubashir Hasan.
