Pakistan smashed 323 at Sharjah

TOP NEWS

SHARJAH: Pakistan winning the toss decided to bat first and set a huge target of 323 runs at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, ARY News reported.

Debutant Sharjeel Khan scored a half-century and set Pakistan’s series off to a bright start, he was well supported by Mohammed Hafeez, who posted a century avoiding risk almost as a rule, content to mine gaps in the outfield that Sharjeel had created and only showing aggression to the more benign bowling in Sri Lanka’s ranks, like Tillakaratne Dilshan’s off spin.

Sherjeel got out after scoring 61 runs while Mohammad dismissed at 122 at the last over of the inning.

Middle order of Pakistan’s cricket team contributed well and helped Pakistan o score past 300.

Shoaib Maqsood and Shahid Afridi played aggressively and scored 73 and 34 respectively.
