Pakistan to further strengthen unique partnership with China: Alvi
ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would serve as a game-changer that would deliver tangible benefits to the people of both the countries and expressed resolve that Pakistan would remain fully committed to further strengthening its unique partnership with China.
In a message to President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President Dr Arif Alvi extended heartiest felicitations on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
“Pakistan admires the remarkable achievements of the great Chinese nation, which is destined to reach new heights under your visionary leadership,” the President said.
“As China advances towards national rejuvenation and prosperity, Pakistan will continue to remain its most steadfast and reliable friend,” he said and added the ties between Pakistan and China have withstood the test of time and will continue to grow from strength to strength.
“Our prayers and wishes will always be with the people of China. May the dawn of this National Day bring the Chinese people lasting peace, prosperity and happiness,” the President said.
A high-level Chinese delegation led by their Foreign Minister Wang Yi, had called on Mr. Alvi in Islamabad on Sep 9. The foreign minister congratulated the president on his assumption of office and conveyed the good wishes of the Chinese leadership for the new Government.
Wang Yi emphasized the significance of the strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and expressed the hope to further enhance it.
The president underlined the significance of China in Pakistan’s foreign policy and looked forward to strengthening the strategic partnership in all the areas.
