Pakistan successfully contained terrorism: CM Sindh
KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has said successful holding of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi proved that Pakistan was a peaceful country, ARY News reported Tuesday.
He stated this while hosting a luncheon in honour of teams participating in the PSL.
CM Shah said Pakistan successfully contained terrorism. He welcomed teams taking part in the PSL matches in Karachi.
“Karachi is a city of cricket lovers”, he told the players, adding that the craze of PSL matches had now reached its peak.
“We will organize talent hunt camps in rural areas of the province,” he announced.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani also spoke on the occasion. He said the PCB teams would also go for talent hunt in rural areas.
He said the event wouldn’t have taken place in Karachi had the CM not taken personal interest.
On Saturday, Murad Ali Shah had said in the coming years the Pakistan Super League matches would be held in different other cities including interior Sindh.
“We have to expand the PSL matches to Multan, Lahore and Rawalpindi as well as different cities of Sindh,” Syed Murad Ali Shah said while talking to media in Karachi.
