Pakistan successfully test-fires Hatf-III (Ghaznavi) missile

KARACHI: Pakistan has successfully test-fired Hatf-III (Ghaznavi), short range surface-to-surface missile, capable of carrying nuclear as well as conventional warheads. The Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif has also felicitated the engineers and scientists for achieving another milestone – ARY News reports.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan successfully test-fired Hatf-III on Thursday that can hit the target up to 290 kilometers, and is capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads.

The Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif felicitated the engineers and scientists, for achieving another milestone in the way of making the defence of the country indomitable.

He stated that the defence capabilities of Pakistan are improving further.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen Rashad Mahmood, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Lt Gen Obaid Ullah Khan, DG Strategic Plans Division, Lt. Gen. Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chairman NESCOM Muhammad Irfan Burney and other senior military officials and scientists, witnessed the launch at an undisclosed location.

Moreover, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain also congratulated the participating troops, scientists and engineers for the successful launch of the missile.
