WASHINGTON: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said that Pakistan was pushed into the Afghan war by the United States and it suffered more losses than America in the terror war.

He expressed these sentiments during a press conference here.

“Terrorism adversely impacted Pakistan more than the US as the war against terrorism inflicted massive damages to Pakistan than any other country,” Bilawal said.

He emphasized that the US should take Pakistan into confidence with regard to its plans as peace in his country was linked to peace in the region.

Bilawal raised a question as to how Pakistan alone could be expected to curb the regional terrorism if NATO forces in support with Afghanistan government failed to defeat it.

The PPP chairman said the world has been accusing Pakistan to cover its failure to defeat the terrorism in Afghanistan and conspiracies against Pakistan are evident to everyone.

He said India has been involved fanning unrest in Balochistan and supporting the insurgents.

No electoral alliance for upcoming election

During the news conference, he said the PPP will contest the General Elections 2018 solo but may go for coalition government afterwards.

He highlighted the recent development in Karachi and Sindh province, where his party is in the government.

Moreover, he also met US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during his visit.
