KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan junior selection committee Basit Ali said Pakistan Under-17 cricket team will visit England in August this year, ARY News reported Friday.
He said the tour aimed to strengthen team’s preparation ahead of the junior team World Cup, scheduled in 2016.
Talking to media after a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Najam Sethi, Ali said maximum foreign tours for U-17 team will be arranged so that a perfect team for U-17 World Cup could be formed.
He hailed the appointment of Waqar Younis as head coach Pakistan team. Waqar has capabilities to carry forward the team, Ali added.
