Pakistan U-19 beats India in a thriller
DUBAI: Pakistan U-19 cricket team pulled off a two wickets win against India in the Group match of Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
India under 19 batting first scored, Ricky Bhui was the top scorer from India. He made 64 runs.
Right arm leg-spinner of Pakistan Karamat Ali took 4 wickets in his 10 over spell conceding 40 runs.
While chasing 251 Pakistan lost early wicket when Shayan Jehangir got out after scoring 13 runs. But captain of national cricket team Sami Aslam made 108 runs. He was well supported by Kamran Ghulam who scored 55 runs.
Kamran backed to pavilion in the 49th over. Pakistan needed six runs in the last over with two wickets remaining; Zafar Gohar hit two back to back boundaries in the last over to brought Pakistan home.
Pakistan Under19 team remained unbeaten in the group matches defeating UAE and Nepal in earlier matches.
Pakistan Under19 will take on Afghanistan in the semi-final, scheduled on Jan 2 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
