ISLAMABAD:  Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria on Thursday said Pakistan was closely watching the evolving situation of Indian water aggression and it would announce its strategy in case of any violation of Indus Waters Treaty.

“Pakistan has emphatically stated that Indus Waters Treaty cannot be altered or suspended unilaterally,” he said at the weekly news briefing in Islamabad while underlining that no country could abrogate the treaty.

He said we will assess India’s activities within the framework of the Indus Waters Treaty.
