Pakistan will change history in WC match against India: Afridi

KARACHI: Pakistani star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has termed South Africa, Australia and New Zealand as World Cup (WC) favorites, which is scheduled to start in February 2015 in the Down Under, ARY News reported.

Addressing a gathering in the city, the Pakistani cricketer said World Cup’s first match was always important.

“We will change the history in first match against India,” said Afridi. A match between India and Pakistan, he said, is always played in a pressure situation.

He said the absence of spin maestro Saeed Ajmal will be felt in the mega event. The star cricketer told that the team management knew good partnerships were always crucial in the match.

He said he would try his best to give good individual performances in the World Cup.
