Opponents failed in their objectives despite spending millions, claims Asif
ISLAMABAD: Federal Water and Power Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan will continue to develop and progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Asif was addressing a gathering in Sialkot on Saturday.
“The opponents failed to fulfill their objectives despite spending millions of rupees on it,” Asif said.
He said that the money, which was spent on campaigns, should have been availed for the goodwill and benefit of the people.
He added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should accept defeat after the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) regarding NA-110 in his favour.
He also said that the election tribunal had also given their decision in his favor.
He claimed that he was a patriotic Pakistan and never hid his assets.
