Pakistani citizens safe in Brussels, says ambassador

BRUSSELS: Pakistan ambassador to Belgium Naghmana Hashmi says all Pakistani citizens are safe in the country, which has been rocked by couple of explosions at airport and subway leaving at least 25 people dead.

According to Ms Hashmi, the Pakistan government is in contact with the Belgium government about its citizens.

She said Pakistanis can contact on their Mission’s Emergency numbers: 003226622104 and 003225064711 to seek any information about their family members/relatives.

The ambassador said helpline number had also been shared on the social media.

Meanwhile, Pakistan strongly condemned the bomb explosions in Brussels at Zaventem Airport and Maalbeek Metro Station, which have caused loss of precious lives and injured scores of people.

“Pakistan sympathizes and offers its condolences to the bereaved families and the Belgian Government and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured in the terrorist attack,” says a statement issued here.
