Pakistani civilian killed in fresh Kashmir firing

TOP NEWS

The incident happened in Rawlakot sector where 60-year old Muhammad Aslam was cutting grass on the Pakistan side of the Line of Control (LoC).

“Aslam received three bullets in abdomen” as Indian troops fired across the de facto border, the military said in a statement, adding that Pakistani troops responded with fire.

Pakistan and India have fought two wars over Muslim-majority Kashmir, which both countries administer in part but claim in full.

Pakistan and India traded blame for the upsurge in firing and shelling across the LoC, which started on October 6 last year. -AFP
