Recently, there was news that Fawad Khan, who won hearts with Khoobsurat last year, has now been approached for Karan Johar’s next, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, co-starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
According to the report, Fawad is not the only lucky one. While after much ado, Mahira Khan has been chosen to play Shah Rukh Khan’s wife in Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, Humaima Malick, after featuring in Raja Natwarlal last year, has struck gold with a three-film deal with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production house.
Distributor Rajesh Thadani feels that the trend may work well to enhance business. “People want to see new faces, and these actors have done a lot of good work in their TV shows, which are incidentally now being screened here too. So, people are excited to see them on the big screen with their favourite Bollywood stars,” reported cited Thadani as saying.
