Pakistani woman defies stereotype by travelling to Kashmir on her own motorbike
Zenith Irfan, 20 year old girl from Lahore, completed her journey across Kashmir on three different motorbikes. She is inspired by her father’s dream.
She started her journey on 14th June from her home city and completed it in six days. Irfan also wrote about it in her photo blog named “Zenith Irfan: 1 Girl 2 Wheels” which is available on Facebook.
The 20 year old woman added that it was her mother to empowered her to make the trip on the motorcycle and she did not face any resistance while making the decision of starting the trip.
Irfan has also expressed her aims of changing many different perceptions regarding women in the Pakistani society.
The adventurer claims that it were the stares which made her trip challenging.
Zenith Irfan has said that she will travel the entire northern areas of the country and provide aid to the people affected by the floods in Chitral.
