Pakistan’s women comprehensively beats Ireland

DOHA: A disciplined effort from the Pakistani Women bowlers helped their team to maintain the winning pursuit in the PCB Qatar Women's 50-over Tri-Series in Doha, securing 7 wickets victory against Ireland on Monday at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha, ARY Nwes reported.

Ireland batted first, but continually lost wickets throughout the innings, as only two batsmen entered in the score of double figures.

Clare Shillington made 20 and Isobel Joyce remained unbeaten at 36 but no other batsmen showed compatible performance consequently getting all out at 92 in the 49th over.

Skipper Sana Mir led Pakistan women's bowlers by picking up three wickets and well supported by Sadia Yousuf, who took two wickets.

Pakistan’s women comfortably chased the target in the 26th over. Opening batsmen Javeria Khan single handedly brought Pakistan home with her knock of 51* runs.
