Pakistan's women heroes honored in Coca Cola awards

LAHORE: Coca Cola awards show was held in Lahore on Thursday in which models walked the ramp wearing designer suits and six of Pakistan’s most inspiring women were lauded with awards for their contribution to the country, ARY News reports.

The designer suits were made by Nilofer Shahid, winner of the most prestigious fashion award in France.

In the awards,first women in Pakistan to climb Mt. Everest Samina Baig, Pakistan’s first ever war-ready air force pilot Ayesha Farooq, Athlete Naseem Hameed, Nilofer Shahid, social worker Ameena Syed and singer Roshane Zafar were given the awards as the most inspiring women in Pakistan.

Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar was chief guest of the event. He said that Pakistan is proud of their women who have brought glory to their country.
