HYDERABAD: Veteran politician Rasool Bux Palijo has dissociated himself from the Quami Awami Tehreek (QAT) led by his son Ayaz Latif Palijo, and announced to revive the Awami Tehreek party which he founded.

The leftist politician and Sindh nationalist leader, while addressing a press conference at his residence, said that they have dissociated themselves from the party of Ayaz Latif Palijo.

The meeting was convened attended by nine dissents of the QAT who have shown their allegience to the senior Palijo, along with the leadership of the Awami Tehreek.

The 86-year-old has reportedly developed differences over party policies with his son, though he handed over the affairs of the party to him in 2013. Ayaz Latif Palijo has refused to comment over the developments.
