According to details, Palpa had called for a strike after the cancellation of license of a pilot, resulting in delay of PIA flight operations.
Passengers have been facing severe difficulties due to the protest. Four PIA flights, PK-305 en route to Karachi from Lahore, Kuwait-bound PK-205 and Abu Dhabi-bound PK-263, and Karachi-Sukkur PK-537, were cancelled to distress of passengers.
President Palpa Captain Amir Hashmi demanded the PIA administration to immediately remove director of Flight Operations.
Taking notice of the situation, the chairman PIA directed officials to take measures to resolve passengers’ issues, following which talks were initiated between Palpa and PIA administration.
