The minister said the government had prepared very professional and comprehensive ToRs for the judicial commission, while the Terms of References sent by the opposition are ‘family specific.’

He was of the view that government was sincere to resolve the issue of Terms of Reference for judicial commission on the Panama leaks with consensus of all the political parties.

He said the opposition should display some seriousness to get the matter resolved instead doing politics over it.

The Minister said the government was ready to hold dialogue with all the political parties for developing consensus, but no one will be allowed to halt the country’s development process in the wake of political point scoring.

He said budget for the next fiscal year will be presented on the 3rd of the June.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has pledged to resign if a probe related to the Panama Papers tax scandal found his family had committed any wrongdoing.

Three of Sharif’s children were named in a vast leak of documents from Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca this month that has revealed how the wealthy hide their money.
