After the huge success of Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milkaa Bhaag’ and Pariyanka Chopra’s ‘Mary Kom’ the trend of biopics have been started. Like the most talked about biopic on current Indian cricket team skipper MS Dhoni, a film is also being made on a former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin.
The film that will be based on life of ex-cricketer will be essayed by Emraan Hashmi and according to the latest reports Parachi Desai has been zeroed for the role of Azharuddin’s first wife Naureen. Parachi who has worked with Emraan Hashmi earlier in ‘Once upon a time in Mumbai’ has confirmed about her and Emraan’s role in the movie.
While talking about the film the young actress said “This is the second time I will be playing a Muslim woman and put a face to a young and innocent character who has never been spoken about.”
The lead character of Azharuddin’s second wife Sangeeta Bijlani, has not been finalized yet. Grapevines are also rife that Kareena Kapoor will portray her role in the film but nothing is confirmed. The film will be directed by Tony D’ Souza and Ekta Kapoor will produce it.
