Parliament should decide on Pakistan’s role in Saudi-Iran dispute: Aitizaz
Talking to media in Lahore High Court premises on Monday, Aitizaz said that Pakistan should not entangle in the row between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
He said Pakistan’s taking side in the dispute could deteriorate internal situation in the country.
The PPP leader called for a joint session of the parliament to decide about the role of Pakistan in the dispute and not any government office.
Pakistan’s opposition parties urging the government not to take sides in tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia after Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir and Deputy Crown Prince and Defence Minister Mohammed bin Salman arrived in Islamabad and met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif.
