Passenger bus falls into ravine; 10 killed, 14 injured

MUREE: At least ten passengers including children and women were killed and fourteen injured as a passenger van fell into a ravine at Salgran near Muree, ARY News reported.

According to sources, the passenger van was traveling from Murree to Rawalpindi and was carrying 25 persons.

Rescuers rushed the site soon after the accident occurs. The sources reported that dead included four men, four women and two children and the injured have been shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital.

Earlier, the two buses had faced the accident at the same spot.  

On December 21, 2013 a passenger bus fell in ravine near Aaro Khas, Islamabad and a child was killed and at least 31 including women got injured.

That accident occurred due to the break failure and among casualties 4 persons are severely injured, sources revealed.

Second accident occurred on January 8, 2014 in which at least 15 people were killed, 25 others were injured after 2 coasters accidentally fell into a deep trench while returning from Murree.

According to details, passenger coasters fell into the trench near Saalgiraan Bridge. Eye witnesses told that the incident occurred while over taking.
