Six die as bus overturns in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: At least six passengers died and 33 others were injured when an over-speeding bus overturned on the National Highway in the vicinity of Hyderabad on Tuesday morning, ARY News reported.

Rescue sources said that the bus driver while driving the vehicle recklessly lost control of the vehicle which caused the accident near Miani forest on the National Highway in the vicinity of Hyderabad. As a result, six people were killed while 33 others injured.

Rescue officials said that the bus was travelling from Bahawalpur to Karachi. The deceased and injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital Hyderabad where some of the injured are stated to be in a precarious condition.

Two among the deceased have been identified as Waseem, 30, and Abdul Majeed, 30. The motorway police reached the scene of the accident and cleared the highway for smooth flow of traffic.
