PAT demands resignation of PM Nawaz
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has demanded resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Model Town incident, which claimed a dozen lives, ARY News reported Friday.
The PAT leader Hassan Mohiuddin, in a press conference, said persons nominated in the FIR against the Lahore incident should immediately be arrested.
Before addressing a press conference, the PAT had a consultative meeting with representatives of different political parties on Model Town carnage. The PAT said a joint committee be formed comprising officials of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau and MI to probe the incident.
PAT demanded law minister Punjab and chief minister Punjab to immediately resign. Model Town incident is the example of extreme oppression, Mohiuddin said while reading out a party statement. PAT demanded that all its workers/supporters should be released and recovered at the earliest.
