ISLAMABAD: A large number of activists of Dr. Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PTI) have taken out rallies in different cities in support of Pakistan Army and ISI, ARY News reported Friday.
Anjuman Tajiraan (traders), citizens and different civil society organisations participated in rallies being taken out in different cities including Kasur, DI KHan, Hyderabad, Multan, Rawalpindi.
In Islamabad, PAT activists took out a rally from press club to D-Chowk. They were of the view that any criticism on ISI and army will not be tolerated.
Protesters also demonstrated against Geo and Jang group outside a press club in DI Khan and chanted slogans against the media group.
They said Geo and Jang group was trying to defame important state institutions. "Decision to ban transmission of Geo TV is a welcoming move," said the protesters.
