Patients suffer after PM's arrival at hospital

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s arrival at a private hospital to enquire after Hamid Mir, who was attacked by armed men last day, brought miseries for citizens and attendants of patients owing to stringent security measures, ARY News reported Monday.

The PM was scheduled to land at the Aga Khan Hospital through his chopper to avoid inconvenience to general public, however all roads leading to the hospital were blocked in the name of security.

Citizens remained stranded at all nearby roads in huge snarl-ups.

Similar situation was witnessed outside the hospital where attendants of patients were forced out due to arrival of the prime minister. While the patients who were outside the hospital building were barred from entering the premises.

Some of the citizens said lives of many patients had been put at stake in the name of PM’security.
