Paul Walker jokes cause anger at Justin Bieber roast!

At Justin Bieber’s roast organized by Comedy Central, a similar situation repeated itself. A high profile list of roasters which included Hannibal Buress, Jeffrey Ross, Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Shaquille O’Neal, Chris D’Elia, Natasha Leggero and Pete Davidson, took the stage to insult Bieber. With such a high profile cast expected to poke fun and humorous jibes at none other than Justin Bieber, nothing could go wrong. However, things took a turn for the worse when some insults and jokes were made on the expense of deceased Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker.

Jeff Ross certainly crossed the line when he made the following joke, “‘Move b***h! Get out the way!’ That’s what Paul Walker should’ve said to that tree,” he said, to which the crowd erupted into boos. “Too soon? Too fast? Too furious? Give me a break, people! I’m trying to save this kid’s life.”

Reportedly, the comments did not go down well with Ludacris, whom sources quoted as saying was ‘deeply upset’ about the jokes made at Walker’s expense. Ludacris was not only his friend but also a co-star in the car racing movie franchise. Even Justin Bieber, who was the target of most of the insults and jokes, stated that he didn’t like the Paul Walker references. The uproar did not go unnoticed by Comedy Central, who released an official statement denouncing the Paul Walker jokes and stated that they would not be aired.

“Roasts often push the limits of good taste and we give the participants full reign to try things knowing we have the edit to shape the show,” a Comedy Central spokesperson said in a statement. “Sometimes the line is discovered by crossing it. The Paul Walker references will not be in the telecast.”

Paul Walker, who was the star of the Fast and the Furious film series (which included A-list actors such as Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacrs and Jason Statham) died on November 30th 2013. Walker passed away due to a car crash when his vehicle collided head on with a tree. Condolences from all over Hollywood poured in for the movie star and he was recognized as one of the finest actors of his time.

The Justin Bieber roast will be broadcast on March 30th, 2015.
