LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former Zimbabwe opener Grant Flower as the batting coach of Pakistan cricket team on Thursday, ARY News reported.
The 43-year-old right-hand batsman, who also bowled left-arm orthodox, has been hired on the two-year contract.
Flower was given priority over Pakistan's former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq for the role of batting consultant.
Grant Flower, who played 67 Tests and 221 ODIs for Zimbabwe, is the younger brother of England coach, Andy, has been Zimbabwe batting coach since October 2010. He applied for the head coach position but lost out to Andy Waller.
