TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has asked Shahid Afridi for the clarification regarding the statements criticizing team performance on his return from World T20, ARY News reported.

According to sources, the all rounder talked to media at Karachi Airport without the permission of PCB blaming the top-order batsmen for the lost in a knock-out league match against West Indies.

Shahid Afridi has given the statement that a negative approach from the top-order batsmen resulted in Pakistan's exit from the World T20.

"It wasn't a big total which couldn't be achieved but the game slipped out of our hands in the first six overs of our batting. It was due to our negative approach in the first six overs, and that's the reason we lost the match”, Afridi told reporters after returning to Karachi.

Mohammad Hafeez and other players expressed concerns over Afridi’s statement, seeking players concern PCB asked Afridi for the explanation within 1-week, sources revealed.
