PCB chairman announces new dates for West Indies tour to Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi on Saturday announced the new dates for West Indies tour to Pakistan.

West Indies Cricket Board and PCB sign an agreement to play a series of T20 matches with each other, each year for the next five years in Pakistan and in the United States subject to availability of dates and venues.

Earlier, PCB and the West Indies Cricket Board had agreed that West Indies will tour Pakistan in November this year but it was postponed due to thick smog in Lahore.

In a press conference, PCB chairman said, “West Indies and Pakistan cricket board has signed an agreement to play a series of T20 matches each year for the next five years in Pakistan and in the USA,” said Sethi.

He also added, “West Indies cricket board confirms that the entire team will tour to Pakistan in 2018 and will play three T20 matches in March, 29th, 31st and April 1strespectively”.

The first series is going to be held in Pakistan whereas, the next series will be played in the USA.

The series which is going to be played in the USA, will be a triangular series, as the third team is not decided yet.

West Indies team will tour Pakistan right after the third edition of Pakistan Super League.
