Under the new constitution, PCB chairman and board of governors will be elected for a period of three years. While the PCB chief will be appointed by the board of governors.
The new constitution stipulates that board of governors will be entitled to nominate an acting PCB chairman in absence of the serving head. The chairman will also enjoy the authorities of chief executive officer. The board of governors will have a right to move no-confidence motion against the chairman.
The constitution says that a once-served chairman can be re-elected as well.
