PCB inviting Sri Lanka for home series in Pakistan: Sethi

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi said on Thursday that Pakistan is sending an invitation to Sri Lanka for a series in Pakistan following Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa wish, ARY News reported.

The President of Sri Lanka during meeting stated with Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday in China said that that his cricket team should go to Pakistan to play cricket adding "We must not allow the terrorists to have control."

Replying to the statement, Chairman PCB said “We are very much concerned about being isolated, without major international cricket in Pakistan.

“We have heard the positive statement by the president of Sri Lanka and we are writing them and offering them a home series in Pakistan”, 

Najam Sethi said PCB is informing Sri Lanka through invitation that there is no security problem and ensured to provide Sri Lankan team maximum security with the help of the Punjab Government.
