PCB likely to announce squads for Australia tour today

TOP NEWS

Pakistan will play one-off T20, five ODIs and two test matches against Australia in the United Arab Emirates starting from October 5th, 2014.

The meeting of the cricket board’s selection committee is underway in Lahore and the squads will be finalized after the approval by PCB Chairman Shehryar Khan.

PCB is also considering to send the selected players to UAE one week before the start of the tour instead of holding training camps due to time constraints.

Yasir Shah is likely to be the replacement of ace spinner Saeed Ajmal who was recently banned over an illegal bowling action by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

On the other hand, batsman Younus Khan is being considered to play only in the test series whereas Asad Shafiq will replace him in the 50 over format.
