LAHORE: Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has said that the board wants to unite the country and will take along all the regions together, ARY News reports.
Speaking to media outside Gaddafi Stadium here on Monday after meeting representative of various regions of the country, Zaka Ashraf said that cricket is a game of friendship and harmony. He said that the sport will be promoted in all the regions of the country.
He said that the people of FATA are happy after the status of region was granted to them. He added that the coach will be appointed after the consultation of the concerned committee.
Zaka Ashraf also said that the decision of the court regarding the chairmanship will be respected.
Chairman PCB, while speaking on the Umar Akmal incident, said that it was a sad turn of events and the cricketer will be probed if he is foung violating the law.
