PCB Qatar Women T20: Pakistan beat SA but lost to Ireland

DOHA: Pakistan Women defeated South African Women but lost to Ireland Women in the first and second Twenty20 respectively of PCB Qatar Women's 20-over Tri-Series at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha on Sunday, ARY News reported.

In the first T20, Pakistani bowlers delivered a stifling spells, among them Nida Dar was the most prominent taking 2 wickets conceding 3 runs only.

South African batting first slipped to 39 for 6 from 34-2, with Sadia Yousuf striking twice.

With such batting collapse SA Women able to score 64 runs only. 

Chasing 65, Pakistan Women were two down for 26 in the seventh over, but Qanita Jalil and Nain Abidi pushed them to within five runs of the target with a 34-run stand. 

Even though both were dismissed within five balls of each other, Pakistan were comfortable and completed the chase with 36 balls to spare.

In the second match, Pakistan batting first scored 97 runs.

Ireland women won by 6 wickets with 2 balls remaining as Pakistan's bowlers were unable to repeat their first match heroics in the second game of the evening.
