PCB shifts Younis Khan back to category A

TOP NEWS

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday reverted back its decision regarding Younis Khan’s demotion to Category ‘B’ in the Central Contract for 2014, ARY News reported.

Younis Khan was demoted from Category ‘A’ to Category ‘B’ in the PCB’s central contact list for the year 2014. The decision turned Younis aggressive and he denied signing the contract.

Younis, a veteran of 89 Tests and 253 ODIs, was dropped from the one-day squad last year and since then has been a Test specialist. He earned a category A contract last year and was among the fittest players in the recently conceded summer camp.

The PCB’s decision was strongly criticized by former cricketers in different talk shows on media after which PCB making amendment in the central contract moved Younis Khan back to category ‘A’.
