PCB starts search for team’s new coach, selector

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has started its search for the new head coach chief selector of the national team, ARY News reported.

PCB has advertised the openings for the position of the team’s Head Coach. The position felt vacant after Waqar Younis stepped down as coach of the national team.


Sources said that Aqib Javed is a strong contender for the position. It is being said that legend cricketers Wasim Akram and Ramiz Raja will give their suggestions to PCB regarding hiring a new coach.

It was being said that PCB had suggested the name of Mohsin Khan as the team’s new selector but his name was not accepted. He had expressed his desire to coach the green shirt.

Grant Luden remain on his position of the team’s trainer and fielding coach.
