Peace can't be established without negotiations with Taliban: Asad Qaiser
LAHORE: Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, Asad Qaiser has said that peace cannot be restored in the state without negotiations with Taliban, whilst the KP Government is not ruling in the province under current circumstances, it is indeed busy in 'Jihad' against social evils there – ARY News reports.
Addressing a ceremony organized by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here on Friday, Asad Qaiser said that despite of worst circumstances in the province, KP Government is thoroughly focusing on peace, education and health. He told an Anti-Terrorism Squad has been formed in the province comprising of 7000 personnel, which will operate according to its own intelligence network.
While criticizing Punjab Police strongly, Qaiser claimed that we have no influence in provincial police department, nor we interfere, whereas Punjab Police is deployed for the security of Chaudhries and landlords.
The Speaker further elaborated that KP Government fulfilled 14000 teaching vacancies in the province, implemented identical educational curriculum from this year and provided free emergency services at all the hospitals.
Moreover, Asad Qaiser denied the involvement of any minister in corruption and switching of portfolios there.
