ISLAMABAD: The government and Taliban negotiating teams are meeting today to overview the progress in the dialogue process, ARY News reported on Saturday.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali will chair the joint meeting, which is expected to take decision with regard to release of the prisoners.
Rustam Shah Mohmand, a member of the government negotiating team has said that an inquiry has been underway over the list of prisoners provided by the Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan leadership.
Maulana Yousuf Shah has indicated expected breakthrough in the meeting today.
According to sources, the government doesn't want to prolong the dialogue unnecessarily and opts for rapid progress.
The decisions taken in the meeting today will be important for providing a direction to the dialogue, analysts said.
