ISLAMABAD: Rustam Shah Mohmand, member of defunct government committee for peace talks, said on Sunday that a period of ceasefire should be extended, ARY News reported.
Talking to ARY News, he said a new government committee will be formed to talk to Taliban and it may also fly to Waziristan to pursue peace talks.
He, however, added that the Taliban should be barred from further offensive and attacks to make environment for negotiations feasible.
Rustam said the impression should be rejected that operation in Waziristan is on cards.
