The meeting will be held at PEMRA Headquarters Islamabad to address the issues of transmission and placement being encountered by ARY News and other channels.

ARY News has lodged a complaint to PEMRA regarding disruption of transmission distribution in Punjab.

“PEMRA will review its complaint and investigate the matter to identify specific areas where channel’s transmission is being disrupted, so that legal action could be initiated against those cable TV operators who are challenging writ of the authority by infringing legitimate rights of its licensee,” a PEMRA statement said.

It said PEMRA was committed to take legal action without any fear or favor on the complaints of its licensees or the general public.

“We work within limitations marked by courts. We cannot go beyond that. According to law, we have set channels in different sets like in a bouquet. News channels are in one bouquet. Entertainment channels are in another and so forth,” Absar Alam said while talking to media.
