ISLAMABAD: An important meeting of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has been summoned on May 27, after the receiving the reply from the Ministry of Law, on the issue of a petition filed in PEMRA by security agencies against the Geo TV Network – ARY News reports.
According to details, PEMRA officials summoned a meeting after receiving a legal advice by the Ministry of Law, to ponder upon affairs pertaining to the Geo TV's campaign against security agencies and a petition filed in PEMRA in return of that.
A notification of the meeting was also forwarded to all the members of the PEMRA authority.
During the meeting, PEMRA officials will review the suggestions of the Council of Complaint (COC) Karachi and the legal advice by the Ministry of Law on Geo TV issue.
The meeting will also discuss the matter of show-cause notices issued to three private members of the PEMRA authority.
